With their first-round pick, the Lakers take an intriguing point guard with Lonzo Ball who can score and pass. He's a good shooter off the dribble and can get to the basket on a regular basis, but he will be a bit of a wait-and-see player for the next few seasons while he develops his shooting.
Clippers – Blake Griffin
While this deep draft class isn't necessarily filled with superstars, it does have a few quality role players. The Clippers take the opportunity to stockpile a few guys who could become useful next to their stars. This is a solid strategy for them, and it should pay off down the road as they look to replace Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
